|You must be a small business with low traffic for having chosen shared hosting as your platform. However, it offers limited resources and can become a hindrance to your business growth once the traffic to your site starts increasing.
Page uploads are slower than usual:
You should immediately upgrade to a higher platform once you experience web pages loading slower than normal. This happens because the traffic load is increasing and your server is unable to manage the higher load.
Frequent alerts from your host:
You have limited resources in shared hosting and you are immediately notified by your host. However, if you frequently overshoot your share of resources, it could have an adverse impact on the other accounts too. Your host may suspend your account if you do not upgrade.
You need more control and security:
Your business needs more privacy and security which shared hosting does not provide. You may want to install your own applications which are not possible in shared hosting. However, you are not yet ready for the dedicated server.
VPS hosting is slightly higher in cost in comparison to shared hosting.
