You have the root access and control over the server. To block an IP address from accessing your dedicated server, you must login to your server account via SSH as the root administrator.

Once logged in, you must execute the command as follows

Iptables-I INPUT -s IP_address-j DROP

Replace the IP_address with the IP that you wish to block. Your cPanel account will have a link “Latest Visitors” where you can get all the details about the visitors to your website using any of the web statistic tools. Use the IP Deny Manager in your cPanel to block the IP addresses of spammers, fraudsters and intruders. You are required to add “deny” and “allow” codes in the .htaaccessfile. You will see a “Add an IP to Deny” link where you should enter the IP address or domain name that you wish to block. It will block the account from accessing your server. If you select “Deny All” it will block all the IP addresses. You can always contact DialWebHosting customer support team who are available 24/7.
