There are a number of differences between dedicated hosting and cloud hosting. I would like to concentrate on some of them. Let us see what are they.
Cost: Cloud server
is the most preferred hosting service because it is cheaper. It comes with a pay for what you use policy. Whereas, dedicated server as costlier because you have to pay a set-up fee and a contract fee either monthly or annually.
When you are on a dedicated server, you have full access to server hardware as you don’t have to share it with others. But being on a cloud server means you will have access to a portion of the hardware that to in the forms of a virtual machine shared with multiple users.
A cloud server can be deployed and configured in just a few minutes. While a dedicated server
takes a lot of time for deployment.
A cloud server can be easily scaled up with the growth of your business. Whereas, if you want to scale up a dedicated server you will need a new server. That means you will be going through the entire process all over again.
